Role of a Loss Assessor
How would you feel if you return home from shopping one day and find your house empty? How would you feel if all the valuable items in your house were gone in just a few hours? What would you do then? You may not be able to recover the goods that were stolen, but you definitely can recover the amount for which your goods were worth. And this is when you need the help of a Loss Assessor.
A loss assessor is paid by the insurance company where you’ve insured the goods that were stolen. The Loss Assessor assesses the value of the goods by looking into the details and then provides an estimate amount that you will be entitled to receive from the company as compensation. The loss adjuster though working for the company works from your point of you and looks to maximize the compensation that you receive from the company.
